In Part 6 of this baby quilt series, I will show you how I added cotton lace to the binding, to give the quilt and extra pretty vintage vibe. All the supplies I used are included.

In Part 5 we’ll hand quilt your quilt sandwich and make and attach binding to complete your patchwork quilt. Links to all the supplies you will need are provided, as well as lots of photos and videos to set you up for success. Perfect for beginners, or experienced quilters who need a quick project between bigger makes.

In Part 4 we’ll ayer your patchwork quilt top with backing fabric of choice and batting, aka quilt sandwich. We will pin or spray baste the layers together. Then make quilting guide lines using a hera marker and acrylic ruler to prepare the quilt for either hand or machine quilting.

In Part 3, we'll dive into the heart of quilt-making: Sewing the fabric squares into units, then rows, and joining those rows to form the quilt top. 

In part 2 of making a modern vintage baby quilt, we will dive into cutting the fabric for your quilt. Helpful diagrams to make sure you are getting the most out of your precious fabric to avoid waste. Maureen shares her tips for accurate cutting, which is so important for the next step, piecing.
