Today Amber from @sew_avant_garde is our maker.
HER PROJECT
Amber’s project is a the Log Cabin Purse from Charise Creates.
Charise is a designer and author and you can find her sharing her sewing patterns on her blog here.
From her blog:
“I created the Log Cabin Purse with Fussy cutting in mind. The center panel is perfect to showcase your favorite print. The Log Cabin Purse Pattern also includes instructions to make you own fabric handles as well as an inside lining pocket and a top zipper closure.”
FABRIC CHOICES
Amber chose to fussy cut one of the pretty square panels from the Blossom and Grow 24 inch panel in this collection, to make the center panel. There are so many nice ones to choose from, just pick your favorite one. You can see the entire panel below, there are 18 positive sentiments in one 24” panel.
They would make a nice wall hanging for a child’s room, or even a pretty pillow. The possibilities are endless.
For the the lining, she chose a combination of The Ditsy Floral and the Medium Floral in pink.
For the front panel Amber chose so many of the Blossom and Grow prints, and they all work so well together.
I sent Amber a fat quarter bundle to work with and she did a lovely job showcasing this collection.
